FUN STUFF

When I’m not coming up with ways to tell a brand’s story, I’m coming up with a few of my own. Here’s a curated selection of some of the other projects I’ve been up to over the past few years.

VETA UNVEILED (2021)

This 20-episode long web-series came from a two-year collaboration between myself and fellow madman Piers Dennis. We basically decided to fuse two topics of tremendous fascination: the ersatz-identities of online influencers, and the cosmic horror of H.P. Lovecraft. We decided to tell a horror mystery entirely through the medium of short makeup tutorials. The result is a channel that starts out resembling an amateurish vlog before descending into an supernatural apocalypse complete with gory curses, slimy monsters, and even a giant eldritch god.

“THE T.C. WASH SUITES” - RHYS LANGSTON (2019)

When my extremely talented friend Rhys Langston first played me his experimental EP “The T.C. Wash Suites”, I wanted to turn one of the tracks into a music video. Then, I decided I wanted to turn the entire piece into a ten-minute long short film. So, I teamed up with filmmaker Piers Dennis to create a surreal narrative that takes our hero across LA in pursuit of memory and meaning.

“DEEP END” - SWAG LIFE UNIVERSE (2018)

The third video I directed for LA rapper Swaglife Universe, testing the absolute limits of how a party can get out of hand.

“ROQ HARDER” - SWAG LIFE UNIVERSE (2018)

My second collaboration with LA rapper Swaglife Universe. After “Secret Ingredient”, we wanted to shoot a follow-up but realized we had absolutely no budget whatsoever. So, we just cobbled together a cheap, silly costume and set out across LA looking for mayhem.

“SECRET INGREDIENT” - SWAG LIFE UNIVERSE (2018)

My first collaboration with LA rapper Swaglife Universe. All I can really say with this one is that we were both huge fans of Eric Andre. Go figure.

GREEN SOLUTIONS (2015)

A short film I made while at university. I’ll be the first to admit that there were a lot of ways in which I didn’t really know what I was doing. Still, I’m proud of the idea and the way it all come together in the end.
